ATLANTA, Ga. – Some Georgia workers who claimed they were stiffed on their pay after helping build schools and police stations got a rare victory on Wednesday. The workers are illegal immigrants, and I-Team reporter Randy Travis originally investigated their situation.
There’s no doubt that the workers got jobs on taxpayer-funded construction projects, but even activists who argued against illegal immigration agree workers should be paid for the work they did. Now, at least some of them are.
